About the Club
A Pioneer in Equestrian Sports and Horse Racing
Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club was established in 1982 under the generous directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, reflecting His Highness’s commitment to supporting sports in general and equestrian sports in particular across the United Arab Emirates.
The club is located in the Al Atain area, near the Sixth Bridge on Al Dhaid Road, and spans an area of 2.72 square kilometers, making it one of the largest and most modern sports facilities in the region.
Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club is regarded as a pioneer in the development of equestrian sports in the UAE. In 1983, it hosted the country’s first official horse race at Sharjah Racecourse, which was designed in accordance with international standards.
